July Monthly Favorites! (2017)

Welcome to my first monthly favorites post!

I’ve decided to start (another) series here on this blog. I’ve seen a lot of youtuber’s do this, so I’ve decided to try doing monthly favorites posts! Every month, (close to the end) I will post about some of my favorite products for that month. Let me know if you like these kinds of posts, and if there are any other types of posts you’d like to see! Here are my July monthly favorites!

I love my avocado and oatmeal clay mask! It’s perfect for when it’s been a long week, and my face needs a pick me up, and I need a “mini spa night.” It’s super simple to use, as well. I usually use it once a week. First, i’ll wash my face with my neutregena facial cleanser. Then i’ll slather a thick lather of this mask all over my face. Then I let it dry, usually for about 45 minutes. You’ll be able to tell when it’s properly dried, because you’ll be able to feel it every single time you make a facial expression! Then i’ll go ahead and rinse it off, and finally i’ll wash my face again with my neutregena facial cleanser, just to make sure I got it all off. I’m left with healthy, dewy, soft skin! I highly recommend you try it!

My next favorite, is the Dove sensitive skin nourishing body wash. I picked this up from the sample bin at my dermatologist’s office, and I really like it! It’s really creamy, and smells really clean. I will say though, if your looking for a shower gel that smells like red velvet cupcakes or some other fun scent, you’d be better off trying Bath and Body works. But if your looking for something quick, fresh, clean, and fairly cheap, I’ve enjoyed using this!

The Maybelline dream BB fresh is officially my new favorite BB cream! I love this stuff so so much!! It’s very lightweight, doesn’t feel at all cakey, has spf, great coverage, great price etc. I love that if I’m in a rush and have literally only about 60 seconds to do my makeup I can throw this on along with some mascara and lip gloss and be good to go! I usually do add powder and blush, but I love that with this BB cream, I don’t absolutely have to! I can just slap it on and look fine! I use it every day now, and I couldn’t be happier!

The mascara is by Lancome and the name is “Monsieur Big” I received this mascara, as a birthday gift from Ulta, for being part of their rewards program! If your not already an Ulta rewards member, be sure to sign up! They email me about sales and discounts, occasionally send me coupons for free products, reward me with points for purchases, and I get a free gift for my birthday each year! This mascara is great and I like it a lot, but I will say that it has two main strengths and weaknesses. It’s strength lies within the length. If you’re looking for a great lengthening mascara, I highly recommend this one! When I wear it, my lashes are sky high! The weakness is that this mascara can sometimes clump up, although it delivers lots of length, it doesn’t necessarily deliver lots of volume. It just depends on what you are looking for in your mascara. If you want to read more about the makeup products I regularly use, check out my summer beauty routine

Cheez-its are one of my favorite snacks, so I thought they would be perfect for a “favorite’s” post! I really like having them year round though. 🙂 They make a great study snack because they aren’t messy and unlike chips, there’s no grease to get all over your hand, neither does the salt get all over either! I usually buy mine at target for about $3 a box. If you like cheese crackers, try them!

This is the “Garnier Fructis Style Sleek and Shine Blow Dry Perfecter Straightening Balm.” (Whew, that was a mouthful!) I usually apply it after towel drying it, I use a quarter size amount on each side of my hair, and then work it through! It helps cut my drying time down, and keeps it sleek and (almost!) frizz free!

My “favorite” of my July Monthly Favorites!

Last but not least, are these gorgeous Essie nail polishes! I snapped these up at Walgreen’s for only $1.80 each!! It was such a great steal, considering they’re usually $9-$11 each! I bought a bunch more, and they will be featured in an upcoming post, so keep your eyes peeled for that! I love Essie nail polishes, they go on smoothly, feel like gel, and last for days! I love them, and these colors looked so fun and summery, I knew they’d be perfect!
